Stellar Smart Contracts Security Audit Bank: Raising the Standard for Smart Contract Security

The Stellar Development Foundation’s Soroban Security Audit Bank initiative aims to bolster security for projects on the Stellar network by providing access to expert audits. Since its inception, the program has supported over 40 audits, deploying over $3 million to improve the security of smart contracts using the Soroban platform. The program plays a key role in ensuring that projects have the necessary security measures to prevent potential security flaws and inefficiencies before launch. In 2025, the program has been restructured to promote better audit efficiency and rapid vulnerability remediation, offering teams building on Stellar prompt access to reputable auditing firms. Teams funded by the Stellar Community Fund can request audits and typically be matched with firms within two weeks. A series of workshops is also being organized to foster security best practices for smart contracts on Stellar.
