The audit conducted by OpenZeppelin on the Stellar Contracts Library 0.1.0 aimed to ensure security and reliability for smart contract development on the Soroban mainnet, launched in February 2024. The library provides a set of components for building decentralized applications, with a focus on fungible tokens and pausable utilities. Adhering to the SEP-0041 standard, the fungible token module includes extensions for burnable, mintable, and metadata functionalities, allowing developers flexibility in token management. The pausable utility module helps manage contract states during critical situations. The audit uncovered 15 issues spanning high, medium, and low severity levels, and all were addressed through timely resolutions. The collaboration between the Stellar Development Foundation and OpenZeppelin is pivotal in simplifying and accelerating the development process on the Stellar blockchain.
