Pelago Labs has announced the launch of its supply chain financing platform on the Stellar blockchain. This platform allows for the tokenization and fractionalization of account receivables, providing suppliers the ability to access working capital backed by buyers’ credit. With Stellar’s smart contracts, Pelago enables efficient scaling and handling of complex business models suitable for suppliers without direct buyer contact. The platform supports settlement in USDC on Stellar’s network or local currencies via authorized off-ramps. This initiative empowers SMEs by giving them access to credit and liquidity on-chain, demonstrating the practical utility of the Stellar network and contributing to broader economic opportunities. Additionally, Trusta Labs, a creditor, has already facilitated a $1 million plus USDC on-chain loan through the platform, illustrating its efficacy in overcoming cash flow issues for suppliers.
